8.1 Official information about higher education
The Dirección General de Planeación, Programación y Presupuesto (DGPPP) of the SEP, integrates all of the information from the United States of Mexico’s education system and coordinates theits publication, of the principal amounts,main datafor ofthe school cycle 2007-2008. This publication contains statistics on the Said publication contains statistic amounts corresponding to the number of students, number of schools, teaching staff, and they are listed by federative entity and level of studies.

The DGPPP of the SEP develops the programmingand planning processes in a transcendent and innovative way by assigning the budget for education sector and rendering accounts for the purpose of contributing to the development of education, culture, and sports in the country. The DGPPP satisfies the needs of the education sector, compromising to continue improvement with internal processes through quality systems.
