The National School of Higher Studies (ENES), León Unit, of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) has been granted reaccreditation of its Bachelor's Degree in Agrogenomic Sciences by the Inter-Institutional Committees for the Evaluation of Higher Education (CIEES), following an external evaluation process aimed at educational quality assurance.

The university community celebrated this recognition at an institutional ceremony attended by academic authorities, faculty, and students, who highlighted their joint efforts and ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.

On behalf of Dr. Miguel Ángel Tamayo Taype, General Coordinator of CIEES, Norma Villegas López, Executive Officer of the organization, took part in the ceremony and presented the recognition to Salvador Andrade Ortiz, Director of ENES Unidad León.

The event offered an opportunity to review the reaccreditation process and the program's trajectory since its founding, with particular emphasis on the academic work undertaken to strengthen scientific education and research.

The ceremony also included awards for members of the academic team who have contributed to the program's development and growth. The student body, meanwhile, was represented by Paulina Medina Moreno, a fourth-year student in the program.

This reaccreditation acknowledges the collective effort of the university community and reaffirms the value of external evaluation as a tool for identifying strengths, driving improvement, and advancing the quality of higher education.

CIEES recognizes the commitment of ENES Unidad León and its academic community to strengthening their educational processes, preparing future professionals, and pursuing continuous improvement.

Congratulations to the UNAM Bachelor's Degree in Agrogenomic Sciences community on this significant achievement!
